Jim Hawkins, our local storyteller, returns with part 3 of his performance, "The Irish People in Story, Song and Poetry." In this chapter through these creative genres, he will perform and discuss Ireland of the 20th century. Dev dominates the political world and James Joyce emerges as a world dominant literary artist. Cultural and political changes will be a part of Jim's program. How has radio, television, and the internet affected Ireland? How has Ireland's place in the European Union changed the Ireland of our parents and, more recently, how will Brexit affect Ireland? Jim challenges himself to tell Ireland's story with all of the colors of song and story.

Join us on Wednesday, March 10th at the Garden City Casino - please note the venue change. The meeting begins at 7:30pm.
