Songs & Stories of the Easter 1916 Uprising

Our first speaker of the new season is often a member in our audience and a familiar voice to us. Kevin Westley, T.M.R.F. will engage and entertain us with a multi-media showcase about the events surrounding the Easter 1916 Uprising. Kevin will play songs that remind us of the events and people of that historic Easter Monday. Kevin will read the PROCLAMATION (POBLACHT NA n-EIREANN). As usual, we will leave Kevin's presentation deeper in our understanding of Ireland's desire for independence. Kevin Westley has hosted a radio program for many years on WRHU - Hofstra University Radio (88.7 FM) on Saturday evenings at 7:00pm. He has been a presenter at past meetings of our society.
